2004 Shiraz/Pinot

This wine is a blend of Shiraz from Murrumbateman and Pinot Noir from our vineyard at Lake George, with a touch of Chardonnay from our Lake George vineyard to provide an additional fruit dimension to the middle palate. It is a savoury, spicy wine with plum, mulberry, cedar and black pepper aromas. The palate is soft and smooth with a long tannin finish. This wine goes well with pasta with rich meat sauces (eg ravioli, spaghetti Bolognese), roast lamb and beef, steaks and pizzas. The wine is made to drink now but will cellar for up to 2 years.
