2006 Pinot Noir
This wines was made from grapes grown at our vineyard
at Lake George. The fruit was cold soaked (5 days), fermented
in an open fermenter with hand plunging 3 times a day and
left on skins for 4 days post fermentation before pressing
off to mature in French oak barriques (20% new) for 11 months.
The wine is a purple-red colour showing aromas of cherry,
plum, spice, violets and musk with hints of vanilla and
smokey barrel notes. It has a rich ripe palate with a long
silky tannin finish.
