2003 Cabernet Sauvignon Merlot

Rich, dark cabernet sauvignon from Mudgee combined with red plum characters from our own Lake George Merlot brings complexity and balance to this classic blend. The aroma is fresh, but also spicy, bringing to mind fruit mince pies. The palate is light with fine-grained tannins influenced by the French oak treatment. This wine matches well with red meats, including lean red meats like kangaroo and trimmed lamb cutlets, but will also complement the richer pasta dishes and veal. This wine is drinking well now but will improve for the next 5-6 years.
